Description
The Genesee Brewing Company, based in Rochester, New York, is one of the largest and oldest continually operating breweries in the United States. It was founded by Mathius Kondolf, one of Rochester’s early entrepreneurs, after purchasing the Reisky & Spies Brewery (since 1857), changing its name to The Genesee Brewery.
The Genesee Brewing Company is since 2012 part of FIFCO USA, the largest independently owned beer company in the United States. With a focus on product quality, facility upgrades (including the relighting of the iconic Genesee Beer & Ale sign), conservation initiatives and employee safety, FIFCO USA has invested in the Genesee family of beers, its employees and the community.
In 2012 The Genessee Brew House was created to capture and share with you the long history of The Genesee Brewery - one of the largest and oldest continually operating breweries in America.

Bottle. Dark golden color. Nice head. Aroma, just ok, slight malt and honey. No hops. Taste is sweet but not in the nasty way. Really good beer.

Can. Really disappointed with this one. Started off great. Nice pretty ruby amber color. Aroma smelled like the can. Tasted like a cross between PBR and Killians. Not good.

Can. Clear golden color with a large, fluffy, long-lasting head. Aroma was weak with hints of grain. Taste was also weak with hints of grains and hay.

Well we’re slummin’ tonight!
Aroma is of vinegar and rotten apples with a wonderful touch of cooked vegetables. Flavour is sweet, but in a rotten fruit kinda way. Wow, this is BAD, one gulp and it went down the drain. Ah well, atleast i got a rating out of it.
