Originally rated February 2006. Pours a deep copper colour with nice lacing. The nose is very light, with hints of malt and caramel. The taste is floral with grain malt. Nice dry bitterness in the finish, and dry mouthfeel. Great tasting brew that is awesome for session... and with the onion rings I had that night.

Aroma is soft fruity barley. Has an okay dark copper body, but again minimal head which seems to be appreciated by the Anglo-Canadien brewpub establishments. Flavour is a weak mix of barley and sugar. Wet finish. It’s not the best for its style, and I dare say that they are thinning it down and not aging it correctly in the aim to get more out the door. Hit the floor, you could do more to score. Eh.

Has a very faint barley aroma. Body is a modest dark-copper-brown with little head. Flavour is great rust-like body with a hoppy-ish finish; it reminds you of walking into your favourite pub for a pint, tired after a long day (or a long flight from the arctic, but I digress) and filled with hints of caramel and barley. It’s a very good beer, and there I am, turn that page.

Has a very faint grain smell; I wish Canadian brewpubs would pay more attention to the aroma! Has an okay gold body, clear with a little carbonation. Smooth grain flavour, with a creamy and hop-ish finish. It’s very drinkable, but nothing special. Proof of concept more than anything else.

Aroma is wheat with just a hint of fruit. It looks like a lager, light yellow-green body and little head. Flavour is a good wheat and raspberry mix, with a soft finish. It’s well balanced and refreshing, a good entry point for fruit-style-beer newbies.

Aroma is a good orangey-wit style, though a little soft. Body is a cloudy yellow. Flavour is a nice grains and citrus mix; dry finish. It’s a very good and very refreshing summer brew.

Drought at Clocktower Brewpub at Clarence street, Ottawa. Rich yellow color with white spongy head, slightly sweet hoppy taste, very faint dough aroma, mild carbonation, abrupt finish. Nice beer for an evening in town.

Tan colored spongy head, brown clear appearance, bitter coffee beans taste, mild carbonation, long finish. Not bad but the coffee taste is too dominant.

Hazy yellow appearance, off-white foamy head, slightly bitter hoppy taste, mild carbonation, abrupt finish. Where was the raspberry?

Okay amber body with little head, what do you expect from a brewpub brew on tap! Yet, the flavour is all right, plenty of malts and a bit of caramel and hops. Just all right.
