On tap @ Artigiano in Fiera 2015, Milano. L’intensità olfattiva è normale e la persistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma porta il bicchiere a contornarsi di una schiuma dal merletto abbondante, a bollicine fini. Il liquido ha bollicine fini con carbonazione abbondante, vivace, costante e perseverata. L’aspetto è velato. Il colore è ambrato carico tendente rossiccio. Il corpo è strutturato non pesante. L’amaro è deciso. L’intensità gustativa è elevata e la persistenza gustativa è buona. Il gusto è appagante. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono luppolate. Il finale è amarognolo e lungo. Il retrogusto è intenso. Le percezioni in bocca sono di caramello, pane, resina, frutta secca, agrumi, alcol presente.

Tap@Birrificio Torino. Pours hazy reddish brown with medium offwhite head. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel, hints of lemon, nuts and sweet oranges. Taste is light to medium sweet, faint to light bitter and faint acidic. Body is creamy and smooth with light soft carbonation. Finish is long with notes of malt, roasted malt, cane sugar, hazelnuts and biscuits. Very pleasant red ale.

Alla spina (on tap) at Birrificio Torino. Slightly hazy, light gold with good white head. Very little aroma, maybe a hint of raspberry. Light body with lovely fine carbonation. Flavour is rather light - light malt and slightly fruity tang with a reasonable bitter finish. A competent beer but no distinguishing features.

Alla spina (on tap) at Birrificio Torino. Cloudy yellow with big white head. Aroma is very subtle, slightly spicy. Light body with plenty of fine carbonation giving superb mouthfeel. Flavour has a nice fruity floral start with a good balance of sweet and sour, giving way to a predominantly tart flavour with a finish that is slightly spicy and very slightly bitter. Overall it is refreshing, very good and quite unusual.

Alla spina (on tap) at Birrificio. Clear golden with big white head. Lovely sweet candy / floral aroma. Medium body with lovely fine carbonation giving a creamy but clean mouthfeel. Delicate sweet fruity foretaste gives way to bold rich malt and a strong bitter finish. An excellent beer.

Bottle. Hazy (maybe I didn’t let it settle long enough after carrying it to the hotel?) reddish brown with slight off-white head. Nice malty aroma with a hint of vegetable / seaweed. Quite full bodied with modest carbonation giving a great mouthfeel. The flavour is dominated by rich roasted malts. There is some slight fruitiness at the start, some spice and a big finish with good bitterness. A very nice beer.

Dark amber color, yellow-brown foamy head, fruity flavor, slightly sweet taste, medium body, long finish. Very nice beer tasted at Birrificio Torino.
