A clear reddish brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of strong caramelized malt, nuts, dried fruits. Taste of dried fruits, strong malt, wood, slightly boozy finish.

Draught Small, if dense & stable yellowish head over fully hazy fruitjuice-like beer. Asafoetida, citruspeel, lupulin galore, felt, bit spicy. More of the same in the mouth. Faint hint at citrussweetness, if generally really dry, lupulin/hopoil determined. Bitterness going towards dry-out effect. Yet +/- refreshing, also thanks to the good carbonation. Hopoilslick, almost medium bodied. Not half bad. Wicklow Mountains aren't the Guinness colony any longer, it seems.
