Hand-pulled third of a pint in the Tap & Can, Shrewsbury on 21st November 2022. Pump clip claimed it was a 'Hazy Tropical Pale'. It wasn't hazy and not particularly tropical. Clear golden pour, white head. It's fruity enough, but not really 'tropical'. Anyway I liked it.

Frothy light brown head on dark brown coloured body. Malt, oats & liquorice aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & silky with a cloying back. Liquorice, malt, burnt, roasted & cereal tastes with a bitter lightly hopped finish. Nice & nice to get a beer in a bottle for a change.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours amber with a slight haze and a smallish, off-white head. Very British hop aroma, caramel and almost buttery too. Medium body, sweet caramel and toffee paired with butterscotch. Faint bitterness. Very true to style, although I find the buttery side a bit overdone. 230922

Cask @ Golden Lion, Todmorden. Blonde with a head. Easy session brew, not thin for its low strength, has a healthy hoppiness about it too.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] A straw coloured pour with a thick cream coloured head; sweet grainy aroma; sweet grainy taste with some lemon; and a sharp zesty citrus bitterness to finish.

On cask at Cold Bath, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out bready malt and subdued floral hops. Flavour is somewhat metallic, with bittering floral hops and crisp biscuity malt. Crisp, nicely coppery and crisp. Good.
