Handpull cask at Whitelock's First City Luncheon Bar, Leeds. Slightly reddish brown and translucent with a slightly loose tan/khaki head. Berries in the aroma, a little bit of liquorice, some earth. Sweet taste slightly fruity with emphasis on dark malt and black liquorice. Quite a lot of chalky bitterness near the finish. Body's a bit watery and flat. It's okay.

Rocky beige head stayed on a clear amber coloured still body. Bitter fruity aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with sharp dry back. Bitter, berries, caramel & light malt tastes with a long tangy finish. Decent pint of bitter.

Appearance is brown, with a beige foamy head. Aroma is nutty malt, caramel, English hops, toasty caramel malt. Taste is roasted nuts, caramel, toast with honey, nutty malt, hop bitterness, bitter finish with peppery hop hints and a bit of caramel sweetness. Good traditional bitter.

28/8/2021. Cask at the 2021 East Anglian Beer Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours hazy dark amber/orange with minimal head. Aroma of fruit, orange, malt, hops, spicy edge. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness and body. Slight oily texture, soft to flat carbonation. Pretty decent.

Bottle from Morrisons. Pours a clear golden colour with a large thick creamy white head. Nice looking beer. Aromas of citrus fruits, floral hops and a touch of honey. Taste has more of the citrus, floral and honey with an added peppery note and some biscuit on the finish. Medium body, soft carbonation and very smooth mouthfeel. Nice beer.

Cask (O'Neill's, Uppsala) - Golden with a white head. Honey, citrus and biscuity malt in the aroma. Biscuity and citrussy taste with a grassy bitterness and a dry finish.

11/6/2021. Bottle from WiseBartender.co.uk. Pours clear golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is well hopped, citrus, caramel, malt, grass, pine. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Light to moderate body, watery texture, average carbonation. Quite liked it, more than I have most other Ilkley beers I’ve had.
