Cask at Bear and Billet, Chester. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma is mainly grains and citrus. In the mouth it starts off sweet before the bitterness of floral hops comes through to dominate. There’s a juiciness to it and flavours of mango, citrus, some underlying caramel and traces of oranges. Finish is slightly dry. Not bad at all.

Bottle from Booths Supermarket, Clitheroe. Black with a very thin light brown head. Smooth with an excellent milky roasted malts that go a long way in masking its low alcohol content.

Cask at the Pup & Duckling, Solihull. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is yeast and malt. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, malty, yeast, herbal, light floral, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Bradford Beer Festival 2023. Deeper clear golden brew. Has a fairly striking hoppy bitterness, and while it is quite bitter its taste is fairly hop-malt balanced.
