Canned. Dark ruby red colour with beige mediumsized head, which disappears quite fast. Aroma is like sweaty socks at first, but after the beer has settled for a short while you can tell sweet malts with some spicy and roasted hints. Flavour is strong hops, but at the same time plummy and some roasted malts. Aftertaste mainly hoppy, with also some weak roasted malts. Positive surprise from Spendrups!

Bottled (BB 05/2006)
Ruby red, small creamy tan head. Roasted, a bit papery and metallic, malty aroma. Chocolaty malty flavor, slightly bitterish aftertaste. Propably the best Mariestad-brew so far.

Bottled (BB 07/2006)
Dark amber/ruby color, small off-white head. Papery malty, a bit caramelly aroma. Liquerish palate, roasted malty, some metallic notes. Quite similar to Finnish IV class Christmas beers. Roasted, slightly harsh aftertaste.

Can (BB 04/2006)
Ruby red, small tan head. Roasted, spicey, pleasant aroma. Malty, roasted flavor, long roasted, a bit hoppy aftertaste. Balanced roasted malts, complex enough and certainly one of the better Spendrups brews.

Canned. Golden colour, minor head. Aroma is alcohol and hoppy. Malts, hops and alcohol in aroma with barnyardish hints. Flavour is sweetish vegetably and alcoholic. Unclean, and should be avoided in any way possible.

Canned. Yellowish golden colour with mediumsized head. Aroma is skunky malts along with sine hints of sweetness. Flavour is sweet malty, quite unclean, dry finish. Boring thing.

Bottled. Pale golden colour, mediumsized creamy head. Hayish, a bit skunky malty hoppy aroma. Sticky hayish alcoholic flavour, a bit like it’s getting old (BBE 01/06). Hayish dry but kind of sweet aftertaste. Quite watery, except for aftertaste. Not a winner.

Can "Mariestads 7,2" (BB 01/2006)
Golden color, not much head. Light fruity, alcoholic aroma. Malty, grassy hoppy with alcohol dominating (not burning but it’s there). Another malt liquer.
