(500 ml can). Golden colour, low head. Hardly any aroma at all. Tastes more like a lager than an ale, not very pleasant bitterness.

(Bottle). Another beer for the Swedish grocery store market. Weak as expected. Golden colour, some decent hops come through in aroma and flavour/aftertaste, and make the beer drinkable.

Another 3.5% lager for the Swedish grocery store market. Weak, but you can sense that some malts and hops actually have been used. Reasonably decent flavour. Unpleasant tartness in the finish.

Beautiful amber color; generous creamy head. Malt aroma, bread. Smooth, quite malty, a lot of caramel, some sweetness in the front, correctly balanced at the end, without being outstanding.

The aroma is lovely malty with clear notes of straws. The color is yellow and it has a beutiful head. The flavor is a little thin to start off - especially thinking of the 5% ABV. But then it turns malty with a powerfull straw character - that nicely turns into the lovely bitter hop finish. A very characteristic pilsner.

Bottled. Dark brown. Yesty, raisiny malta aroma. Cloyingly sweet. Poor example of the style.

Amber color. Sweet malt and caramel aroma. Nor surprising, but more balanced than other Julöl(s), without an exaggerated caramel character, with a final almost dry and correctly bitter.
