Description
Brewing bold beers from our hilltop in Hebden Bridge and pouring punchy pints from our very own taprooms. We’re resolutely in the business of setting standards, not following trends.

Cask @ Calans, Hebden Bridge. Tropical fruit hopped with lime and other less heavy citric fruits prevalent. It’s certainly strong tasting though, which is most evident in its aftertaste.

33cl can from Beer52.com. Slightly hazy straw in colour with a billowing white head; tropical fruit aroma; soft tropical taste, with pineapple, grapefruit and mango; and a lasting grapefruit finish. Good, but nothing to make this standout from the crowd.

Can picked up at Eebria , consumed at End of the Road Festival, Dorset, 3rd September 2015. Hazy gold with a sticky white head. Bitter but a little rough around the edges, it’s very pleasant but lacks the overall drinkability of the BIPA I had last night from this brewery ’Divide and Conquer’. However it is nice, citrus and malt are the main things I get but there is a little metallic streaky edge. Good. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.3

Can. Hazy amber beer, good cream colour head. Sweetish smooth malts, a touch of lactose tinged cream. A nice light Sorachi Ace lemon tang underpinned by spicy orange and marmalade. Sweetish floralness. Mild and ripe tropical fruits bring up the back end as does some hop spice. Smooth semi dry finish. Not a ’pow, wallop’ IPA but it seduces with it’s richness. Nice job.

330ml can from Bottle Bank, Falmouth. Pours deep amber with good off-white head. Aroma is malty and hoppy. Taste is big sticky hops with a citrus edge. Marginally over-hoppy for me tho.

Can picked up at Eebria , consumed at End of the Road Festival, Larmer Tree Gardens, Dorset, 3rd September 2015. I drank this straight from the can so cannot be certain on the colour, however it’s an IPA so let’s have a calculated guess on it being, gold with a white head. Nice steady bitterness, this is good much like the Divide and Conquer BIPA. Really like this, great hoppiness throughout, juicy but then dry, citrussy. Good beer. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7

Bottle picked up at Eebria, consumed at home Wednesday 2nd September 2015 Can’t see through it so I am suggesting that this is nigh on black, with a large frothy creamy light beige head. Some roasty notes on the nose. Hoppy in the mouth, fruity with a roastiness and bitter edge and yet superbly smooth. This is a top drawer BIPA with a grapefruit edge. Lovely. A7 A5 T8 P4 Ov17 4.1
