Tap at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Hazy orange. Picking up mango and peach, medium sourness, bitter hoppy finish. Light to medium bodied, nice smoothness, semi-dry but refreshing. Very nice.

Tap at Sommar, Waterloo St, Brum. Murky light purple, pink tinged small top. Fruity mixed berry but I would say raspberry slightly more prominent. Some toasted hay, light salty dryness. Good.

Can from Connolly's Wine Merchants, Birmingham. Cloudy gold with nice fluffy white top. Aroma is sweet, floral, mango, pineapple. Taste is quite pine noted and bitter with grapefruit, pineapple, zest, malt and spice. Medium bodied, drying, fine carbonation. Good.

Can from Sommar Bar, Waterloo St, Birmingham, consumed at home. Pours a clear gold with small consistent white top. Aroma of light stewed orange with flora and pine. Taste is quite grassy with pine resin, malts, citrus zest, grapefruit and pine needles. Nothing amazing but nice balance between sweet/bitter and pine/fruitiness.

Can from Candy & Liquor, Birmingham. Hazed light gold with moderate white foam. Aroma of stone fruits, passionfruit, some berries and herbs. Its sweet and fruity with a solid malt base, a bit of a berry tang, grass/herbal bitter drying in the finish. Solid.

Can from Connolly's Wine Merchants, online. Pours a murky golden brown, small slightly off-white head, nice retention. Aroma of yeast, banana, pear, hoppy grass and flora notes. Taste has a sharp almost lemon citrus, malts, touch of caramel, pear, grassy hops, spice, dry finish. Its one of those beers that really grow on you, the spicy notes add a real complexity.

Can from Connolly's Wine Merchants, my version at 5.2%. Light hazy orange-gold with moderate sized white head, nice retention and lacing. Aromas of banana, clove, flora, citrus zest. Taste is an interesting mix of doughy malts, grain, hoppy orange, spice, flora notes and the classic banana and clove. Medium bodied, frothy carbonation, quite bitter for a Hefeweizen. Great take on the style.

440ml can from brewery at 4.5%. Very slight hazy gold, small white head. Aroma of citra hops evident with lemon, lime and herb notes, light grassy note. Taste of light pale malts, citrus, grapefruit, herbs, decent moderate long bitter with a chewy citrus finish. Light body but it coats the palate and is not watery, quite dry. Decent session IPA

440ml can from the brewery. Pale hazy straw like beer, with small white head, spotted retention. Aroma of grainy malts, sweet and sharp juicy citrus. Taste is semi-sweet, tart and zesty orange, yeasty, grain, tangy mild sour light bitter finish. Light to moderate body. Its ok.
