Cask@The Castle, London (I had written down Redcar Best Btiter 3.9%...). Amber colour, mediumsized off-shite foamy head. Aroma is wood, sourness and mild grassyness. Flavour is quite much the same with a nice grassy bitter finish.

Cask at the Carousel Lounge, Hythe, Kent. Chestnut brown with a foamy white head; sour autumn fruit aroma; fruity malt flavours, again slightly sour; the finish is slow to develop and tartly bitter. A pleasing bitter.

Cask at GBBF08. Weak vinous aroma. Clear very dark brown colour. The flavour is slightly vinous and spicy as from certain berries or herbs.

One of the better porters I have had in some time. Brown with a red hue. Roasted malt and some lactose. Flavor has more roasted malt, red wine, and a little smoke.

Bottle, 5.5%. Clear colour, very dark brown. Small frothy head. Good roasted flavour, a little sweet. Gets a little sour in the finish, but that is quite refreshing. A little light chocolate notes.
