Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a large fluffy brown head that left incredible lacing. The aroma was sweetish with anise, toasty malts, dark fruit and cocoa. The flavor was sweet and tangy with notes of raisin, anise, floral hops, dark fruit and cocoa. Very long finish. Full bodied and smooth. Outstanding!

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a cloudy reddish brown color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was sweet with notes of toffee, caramel, malt, cherry and fig. The flavor was very sweet and malty with fig, cherry, cookie dough, sugar, and raisin. Long finish. Full bodied and smooth. Alcohol amazingly well controlled. Marvelous.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a reddish-brown color with orange highlights and a large foamy off white head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was sweetish with toasted caramel, plum, fig and vague holiday spices. The flavor was sweet and yeasty with vague holiday spices, plum and fig. Medium length finish. Alcohol well controlled. Medium bodied and smooth. Well done.

The aroma was sweetish with notes of orange, yeast and a touch of honey. The flavor was tangy, sweet and yeasty with orange and honey notes. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied. Solid.

The aroma was tart, a bit dry and chalky with lemon, grapefruit and orange flesh. The flavor was sweetish and tangy with a yeasty presence followed by pine, grapefruit and orange. Long grapefruit and orange finish. Moderately full bodied. Solid.

The flavor wa start, bitter and somewhat sweet and tangy with cactus, pine, lemon and orange elements. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied. Solid.

This one really disappointed me. +++ Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was dry, woody and roasty and a bit dusty. The flavor was dry, bitter and harsh with notes of wood, nut and a hint of bread crust. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.
