On tap at Belmont Station Bier Cafe, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of rye and whiskey upfront, atop dark fruits and some sweetness. Flavour is very potent, with notes of dried dark cherries, rye whiskey barrels, and a little molasses. Quite complex - the barrels are used very well, accentuating all the flavours without dominating the beer. The dark cherry presence is surprisingly high. Finishes on the cherries and light sweetness. Great stuff.

Can at the Croydonia Tasting, picked up from Newport Market in Bend, 13/07/13. Hazy orange/light golden with a thin off white head. Nose is bitter orange, hops, light grapefruit, grass. Taste comprises hops, grass, orange pith, light tropical fruit sundae, touch of pine. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish with a little hop bitterness. Super drinkable APA - can’t believe the low (ish) scores this one gets!

Tap at OBF. Pours hazy amber with a creamy off-white head. Rather earthy and citrus aroma. Med + body. Mild caramel. Strong hop. Seems earthy/citrusy/floral.Finishes smoothly bitter. Very nice.

Draught. Pours light brown, like a thin latte with white head. Hoppy aroma like an IPA. Flavour is strong on the hop, like an IPA. Much unsweetened coffee in the finish, that’s where the coffee comes out.

Draught. Clear pour with thick white head. Aroma is new mown grass. Very full and pleasing. Flavour is less good, a little malt amongst the hops. The hops do not overwhelm. Good finish

Can at Croydonia Tasting thanks to Colin. It pours cloudy pale golden orange with a medium white head. The nose is fresh orange, passion fruit, piss, tangerine and grapefruit. The taste is full of citrus...orange, grapefruit, pithy lemon, straw, hay, pine and decent bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Lots of clean citrus. Very easy drinking stuff.

Can shared at the Croydonia July 2013 Tasting - East Croydon. Thanks to Colin for this one. Pours cloudy orange-gold, some mild sediment kicking about, a creamy white head. Nice pissy hop nose, some tangerine, too. Light sweet flavor with clean and dry citrus, orange rind, pine needles. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Clean, rindy bitter finish, more pee, pine, grapefruit and tangerine. Solid. Nice hot weather beer.

Super nice, very hazy bronze coloured body with a bright orange glow and a thick, three centimetre tall tan creamy head - this is an amazing looking IPA! Aroma of floral and very piney hops with a nice sweet smell and a good amount of malt and alcohol. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and resinous hop flavour at first with a good malt backbone, some subtle sweetness and then fades to some more hops - this time a bit more earthy and perfumey. Aftertaste shows a nice complexity from the hops with some solid malt flavours and a good level of alcohol. Overall, this is a well crafted IPA with a nice balance of malt and hops and an even better complexity from hops. I sampled this 50 cL can purchased from Bottleworks in Seattle, Washington on 10-February-2013 for US$3.50 sampled at home in [the real] Washington on 30-June-2013 in celebration of my birthday!
