Bottled. Cloudy pale amber, small head. Husky bread, pepper and ripe fruit up front. Mid dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Peppery bread dominates. Fairly low bitterness. Quite interesting.

Sektflasche(0,75l): Ruby-amber coloured, big and dtable creamy off-white head; fruity - but no signs of infection - and caramelly nose with a subdued, but still distinctive hoppy background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied but unfortunately not so soft; slightly lingering hoppy and fruity finish. Quite good, but it is not clear which style the brewer wanted to create here. Maybe it should be better called not "alt fränkisch", but Fränkisch Alt…

500ml bottle. Immensely cloudy, dark golden to amber colour with huge, thick, frothy to creamy, off-white head. Fruity, wheaty, yeasty aroma, banana notes doing a banana boat credit, some yeast spiciness, a touch of papaya. Taste is moderately sweet wheat malty, lots of banana, some diacetyl, a minimally refreshing dash of lemon; slightly bready and minimally herbal finish. Texture makes one pondering if chewing or drinking is the right mode of consumption.
