Bottle split at Endo’s house, thanks to Bird & Mini, 26/05/13. Clear dark mahogony brown with a thin beige head. Nose carries light sour nots, touch of pine, light roast, hint of tropical fruits. Taste comprises mineral notes, faint hops, bitter tropical fruits. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, tarte fruits in the finale. Black IPA - really ? strange tasting brown ale more like!

Murky Brown, Huge Head, Lots of Lacing. Moderately Sweet Malt, Light Pine aftertaste that does not last long. When you think of a winter brew, this one is too thin and not sweet enough to be one. Nevertheless a decent brew that I’ve enjoyed it this cold spring evening.

Poured from 12 fl oz bottle. Clear light orange-ish brown with very minimal off-white head. Cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, brown sugar, sweet potato, pumpkin aroma. Nice sweet pumpkin taste at the beginning that quickly dissipates leaving very lacking, watery finish. Perhaps it had been kept for too long.

Bottle thanks to Mike. 1827 out of 2400. Pours a clear reddish hue with a medium white head. A big fruity nose with huge berries. The flavor is excellent: berries, sweetness, oak, light tartness, white wine. Very interesting.

12oz bottle pours clear amber with copper hues and supporting a weak tan head. The aroma offers up lots of prunes and raisins and then a bit of fig like sweetness. The taste is similar as I get a raisin note that borders on peppery along with some softer prune notes in the background. To midway it picks up some candi sugar and a faint beat quality.

22oz bottle pours a clear caramel amber with some frothy, white head. Nose is musty, wood shavings, caramel, malt, crackers. Flavor is sweet, mostly malt, caramel, cracker, orange, light bourbon, a little marshmellow. Full, slightly boozy finish.

Pour is a amber with a small white head. Aroma is of a slightly spicy rye and not much else. Flavor is again an ok spicy rye with a little more of the hops showing up. Not enough umph in this one. An ok beer but not at good as others that I’ve recenlty had.
