Description
Craft beer is a passion, an obsession and a journey. This journey has opened our eyes (and taste buds) to some of the finest examples of beer this planet has to offer. Our tastes and expectations have forever changed, and so have our methods of enjoyment. From beer trades, to home brewing, to attending release parties and festivals one thing became clear… We rarely drink the same beer over and over again, and we love to share.

Sampled at Meridian Pint, pours a hazy gold with some lacing, white head. Nose is Kolsch-y to a point, straw, malt, perfume, mild yeast. Flavor has lemon, perfume, yeast, spicy finish. Why not just back the ABV down and make this a straight forward Kolsch?

Sampled at Meridian Pint, pours a murky, deep mahogany brown with lots of lacing, off white head. Roasty nose, toast, dark chocolate, molasses, coffee grounds. Perhaps a bit simple. Flavor is all roast, burnt toast, coffee grounds, burnt caramel, mildly meaty. Dry finish. Maybe a little too simple.

Sampled at Meridian Pint, pours a murky, neon yellow with some cloudy, white head. Nose is mild, some lemon, some herbs, a little cheese, some cream popsicle, lime. Flavor has grass, lemon-lime soda, mild candy. No real assertive hoppiness and no real wheat character to speak of. A bit of a miss.

Sampled at Meridian Pint, pours a translucent, deep mahongany brown with some clumpy, cream colored head. Nose is interesting, orange peel, earthy, pine, cracker, toast, some herbs. Flavor is earthy, some pumpernickel, pine, soap, bread crust, toast, some orange, a little pale malt actually. Slick finish. A few tweaks and this could be great.

Sampled at Meridian Pint, pours a hazy gold with some creamy, white head. Nose has mostly citrus and soap, lemon, orange, grapefruit, mild pine, pithy. Flavor follows, lightly gristy then all pithy citrus, lime, lemon, orange, soap, pine. Full bodied, oily finish. Old school but nice.

Very nice, especially for my first try from a new brewery. Lots of roast, and well-balanced with hops. Right in the middle of the hybrid, with great balance. Bitter finish. Some hint of licorice. Black, creamy pour with decent head. Tap.

Draft at the Ocelot Brewery. Poured a completely opaque black, with some brown edges on the sides of the glass. Aroma is roasted malts, some bitter bakers chocolate. Flavor is bitter chocolate, malt, with a sizable amount of tobacco on the finish. Beer coats your mouth and sticks with you. Also available on nitro on this particular trip. Had this one on nitro afterward and it was wonderful. Rich and creamy.

Draft at the Ocelot Brewery. Poured a slightly hazy golden orange color, the fog outside is more hazy right now. There is a small wispy off-white head atop this beer. Aroma was light juicy notes, some wheat. Mild, props for them hiding the alcohol in this one.
