From a 330ml bottle on 24/7/2013. Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a smallish head. Has a slight, sweet malty fruity aroma. The flavour features quite a bit of sweet citrus fruit (especially orange, and a touch of honey. Finishes with a medium bitterness. The body is medium to full and the carbonation average. Actually quite nice, and a little harshly treated on here imo.

From a 330ml bottle on 20/7/2013. Pours a clear light yellow with a quite big, fluffy, bright white head. Has a light aroma dominated by honey and a touch of grass. Honey dominates the taste also, but the sweetness is kept in check by a mild bitterness in the background. Has a light body and spritzy carbonation. Feels like it’s not too far away from being a good beer, but is a little too subdued to really grab your attention. Still, it’s easy to drink and a quite pleasant quaffer.

There’s plenty of malt on the nose hiding some subtle floral notes. In the mouth, it’s also malty with some late hops. It’s a reasonably good length with a viscous soap mouthfeel that takes some swallowing, but what really stands out to me is the alcohol: this one really leaves the alcohol to climb all over you, which lets it down a little. Other than that, it’s a nice amber ale.

From a 330ml bottle on 27/4/2012. Pours a very dark brown/black with a small head. Has a powerful aroma of chocolate topping. The flavour is all bitter dark chocolate against a medium roasty bitterness. This is a slightly odd one. It’s a little watery and a little one dimensional, but what’s there is reasonably interesting and actually pretty good.

Sudsy cardonation, with hints of hops, but a bit watery with a soapy finish. Got it out of the cheap bin at Dan Murphy’s which explains a lot!

Pours gold with a large, fading head.Nose shows grainy malt and honey, a little eucalyptus and faint spicy hops.Sweet flavours, a fair whack of honey. Also some grainy malt. Somewhat cloying, could use more bitterness or a drier finish.Needs a lighter body and more carbonation.
