In 1870 begint Willem Geenen met de brouwerij naast de schuur van zijn huis. In oktober van dat jaar levert hij het eerste bovengistende bier. In 1897 komt zoon Bernard naar Neer en raakt steeds meer betrokken bij de brouwerij. De naam wordt veranderd naar "Bierbrouwerij ‘De Lindeboom’ W. Geenen en Zoon”. In 1903 sterft Willem Geenen, 63 jaar. Zoon Bernard en dochter Christine nemen samen de leiding op zich. De naam blijft gehandhaafd. Na het overlijden van Willem sr. in 1978 nemen Ben en Willem jr. samen de leiding van Lindeboom op zich. In 2013 vindt de feestelijke opening van de nieuwe brouwzaal plaats in aanwezigheid van Mevrouw Geenen (3e generatie) en Bernd Geenen (5e generatie) alsmede Paul Joosten, algemeen directeur.

Bottle at home, yellow beer, small head. Aroma is lemonade, lemon, sweet. Taste is the same, sweet, lemon, lemonade. Ok

Bottle 30cl. @home poured into a shaker. Clear pale amber colour, good frothy white head, slowly dissipating, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malt, wheat, banana, cloves, saison yeast, metallic notes. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, wheat, light banana, hay, peppery notes. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, sugary notes, some yeast, peppery on the tongue, a bit messy and not really a saison but nice.

Fles gedeeld door Roelzie. Het is een troebel oranje geel bier met een medium witte schuimkraag. Het heeft erg veel depot (zwevende vlokken). Het aroma is tarwe achtig. De smaak is tarwe achtig en waterig.

Bottled (from de Biertonne). Deep amber colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is some sugary tones, mild wood with some toasted and rye malty tones. 30cl bottle from Slijterij Zandvoort, NL. F: big, egg-white, good retention. C: amber, hazy. A: malty, banana, honey, apples, spicy touch, toast, floral. T: full malty base, banana, honey, bit peppery, cinnamon, herbal, red apples peels, medium carbonation, quite nice balanced for the style, enjoyed for sure.

30cl bottle from Slijterij Zandvoort, NL. Head is medium, tan, good retention. Colour is brown, clear. Aroma is malty, caramel, roasted tones, toast, dried fruits. Taste is medium malty base, bready, dried fruits, bit caramel, herbal, coffee touch, nice balanced bitterness, good balanced for the style, enjoyed.
