Can at home. Opaque black color, medium sized brown head that diminishes very quickly. Aroma is malts, chocolate and coffee. Flavor is malts, soft to medium roast, brown malts, toasted malts lightly, light to moderately chocolate notes, balanced coffee influence, after that more clearly dark chocolate with a sweetish finish, before a malt bitterness in the end closes this marvelous Rollercoaster ride of a beer. Very well balanced with loads of different flavors coming together very nicely, this is a great brew imo. Delicious, absolutely delicious.

Aromas are coffee, cocoa, dark malt, molasses, roast. Flavors are like nose, bittersweet up front with cocoa, dark malt, roast coming out more and losing a little molasses. Good but been done many times before. Nothing special.

Draft at Maloney's, 11/24/24. Fully hazy lighter orange color, white head. Peach, pineapple, melon, a little grapefruit. Leaning sweet. Pretty good.

AS: Evil Twin TGI Oktober Draft at Maloney's, 10/10/24. Clear lighter golden-orange color, foamy beige head. Dry, grainy. Earthy notes. A little pine. Kind of an odd aftertaste. Not my favorite. 7/4/6/3/13

Really nice silky body and flavor, balanced barrel notes between the apple brandy and bourbon, vanilla and sweet caramel apples all over. Dark fruit and chocolate yumminess

16oz can pours out amber topped with a sand head. Nose is nice sweet caramel malts some toast grain and a little pitfruit. Taste is more of the nice sweet pitfruit caramel malts and a toasted grain kick.

16oz can from Tavour. Murky golden pour, thick, creamy head, lots of sediment. Aroma is overripe fruit, tropical, citrusy notes. Taste is zesty and dank, fruity, bitter with a thick, creamy feel. Would love to try the Monkish version.

Canned 9/12/24, drunk 11/15/24. Tried it both with and without the sediment, which is heavy, if added. Deep purple-red-raspberry. Small, pink head quickly to edge. Nose is bright, authentic raspberry juice/puree, just as in the original series. I do get the marshmallow, as well, but it's not heavy and it does add a soft, creamy, playful character that helps lighten the acidity and even soften the sugar of the raspberry. Pure raspberry juice in the flavor with lots and lots of residual sugar following it. Thankfully, there's balancing acidity on the finish to keep it manageable. That said, it's not A LOT of acidity and this is still cloyingly sweet. Still think the marshmallow helps balance and/or deepen the complexity. Probably the best part here is the rich, creamy, thick, smoothie-like texture just like in Trillium's series. Half a can was plenty, though, on account of the intense sweetness.

Draught @ Stepping Stone Beer Fest, 2024. Pours amber copper with a small creamy head. Massive wood and slick bourbon. Dark fruit, caramel and molasses. Vinous. Super dope.
