Total wine, can. A little apprehensive about this cheap selection but lets give it a try for a ticker. Cloudy off pale. Nose is an odd limey thang. First taste is definitely lime, not sure if I detect the coconut up front. Oh yea, once the big swig is swallowed, now I'm getting a definite coconut after taste. Yes, each big swig is the same; lime up front then the coconut follows. Pretty good level of carbonation. Normally I don't like coconut in my beers but this comes across differently, it has more of a realist non artificial flavor about it and the nut is never in yer face. Its just pleasantly there. A well balanced amount of coconut added to the lime. It seems the doctor put the coconut in the lime and appraised the amounts to work out a favorable taste. Not bad, BH. Goes down fairly easy for flavored brew. Oh, by the way, this is flavored brew, not a straight up lager as stated in the RB descriptor.

Can from total wine, pours a slightly hazy pale eye. Nose is typical macro pale lager mild cream corn. First impression on the palate is that it has plenty of cutting carbonation, I like that. It's like foaming all over the inside of my mouth. Taste is mellow and laid back. Has some green grass clippings and hay in there with a little aged wet straw to boot. Yes, no hop bitterness and I like that too, it seems to have a great balance of noble hops in it's foundation. Those good noble hops really know how to behave, no shagging going on here. Yea, I'm liking this. Its refreshing and fun to be with. Wow, I'm clear to the bottom of the can already, oh darn. Maybe PhillyBeer just got a bad can, not sure. As a cheap pale lager connoisseur, I enjoyed this session. Nice job there BH!

Snifter at Miller’s Ale House in Naples - dark ruby/amber pour - medium body - a pretty traditional America impy along the lines of Old Rasputin (but like a piss-poor clone of it) very roasty and moderately bitter, with some notes of chocolate and tobacco - gets pretty sweet after, but with a very sharp underlying acidity followed by alcohol warmth - finish tastes like alcohol and burnt coffee - it’s not very good.

12 oz. can from The Bat Cave. Pours a cloudy orange-bronze color with a tiny off-white head and poor retention. Zero lacing. Faint caramel aroma. Tastes like a flat pale lager with minimal caramel notes and a somewhat unclean boozy finish. Old can maybe? There's no best by date. Medium-light body. Flat, lifeless body. Not bitter. One of the most disappointing Oktoberfest beers I've ever had.

Bleh. A very bland pale lager, and sometimes I'm ok with that, but this was also weird, grainy, and weird tasting. Yes I said weird twice. Because it was. Not a clean lagering I think.

12 oz. can from the Bat Cave. Pours a semi-clear gold color with a white head and fair retention. No lacing. Bready malt aroma. The taste is initially artificial citrus-forward, then moves into a predictably bready malt finish. Light body and average carbonation. Low bitterness. An okay, any time beer.

12 oz. can from the Bat Cave. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a small fizzy white head that vanished instantly. No lacing. No aroma? Yes, there are both coconut and lime flavors present, but they both taste very artificial and don't blend together well. Crisp mouthfeel. Thin, watery body. Zero bitterness. A miss for me.

12 oz. can from The Bat Cave. Pours a hazy yellow color with a small white head and poor retention. No lacing. Virtually no aroma. Virtually no flavor either. Faint grainy malt notes with a hint of citrus and diacetyl in the finish. Nothing bad, but a little too laid back IMHO. Crisp mouthfeel. Thin, watery body. No bitterness. Fun label.

12oz can at SOB on FMB. One of the better Florida IPA’s - lighter and easy to drink
