Bottled 500ml (Vinmonopolet, BB 12/2017)
Dark amber colour, medium-sized beige head. Fruity, grassy, a bit grainy aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Citrus, grass, some caramalt in the backbone. Can't trace lemongrass. Old bottle but shows some potential.

On tap at Haand Festival. An unclear, milky, yellow colored beer with a dense, white head. Strawberry, citrus and a hint of malts in the aroma. The pepper is hidden in the aroma, but in the flavor it sneaks up on you, without being too much. Strawberry, citrus zest and a light malty backdrop in the flavor, a pleasant bitterness too. Full body and a nice carbonation level. In my opinion, there's too much strawberry going on here, but at least it doesn't smell and taste like soon to be rotten strawberries like in so many other beers. I like the idea of combining black pepper and strawberries, and it turns out quite nice too. 170526

On tap at Haand Festival. A golden colored beer, lightly unclear, with a white head. Ligthly herbal aroma with pine cones and some citrus zest. Well hidden malts. It's full to medium bodied, nicely carbonated and semi-dry, with a decent bitterness. Would expect more bitterness though, at least if the IBU number is correct. Herbal hints, pine cones, orange zest, some grapefruit and a good touch of blood orange in the flavor. Not much malt shining through. Lasting finish. A tasteful and quenching beer, a bit weak on the aroma, but sure fine anyway. 170526

On tap at Haand Festival. A lightly hazy golden to amber colored beer with a finger thick off-white head leaving lacing. The aroma has both fresh and dried fruits, with dark sugar and cellar notes. The flavor has enough bitterness to deal with the sweetness from the sugar and malts, and a distinct cellar touch in the back. It's quite fruity, with some dried apricot and a prune-ish touch. The alcohol is well hidden both on the nose and in the mouth. Full body and a nice carbonation, feeling both dry and sugary. Lasting fruity finish. A decent tripel indeed. 170526
