Bottle @ Derat, large sample. Dark color, medium brown head. Aroma of roasted barley, coffee, some dark fruit, black berries and blackcurrant. Soft sweet in taste, soft malty bitterness, some fruity notes. Quite a nice try from these starting brewers, even when its made at a brewery Im not overly impressed with.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 25 Feb 2015) Almost black colour, with hints of ruby. Creamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of fresh black coffee, dark chocolate and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, coffee, a touch of vanilla and a generous coffee bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a gentle sweetness. Very tasty and well made porter in excellent balance. That’s some first beer from this brewer! Lovely beer.
