Bottle. Dark brown beer with a reddish tinge and a very strong head. The aroma is very yeasty and the flavour is yeasty with a very, very bitter finish. Overall a reasonable beer.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Grainy to sweet-malty nose, ornated by a touch of cardboard, deep golden, mid-sized quite quickly diminishing white head; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, becomes drier with an increasing bitterness towards the end. Not great, the taste of cardboard reduces the pleasure..........

(33cl swing top bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond foamy head. Slightly dusty and sweet, moderately malty and a bit sulphury nose with herbal hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crisp mouthfeel. Soft malty base with herbal notes from the beginning; moderately dry, slightly papery malty finish with a good dose of bitter hops. Not very aromatic but drinkable.

Bottle sample. Amber color with a small beige head. Malty aroma with fruity notes, and a bit of hops. Sweetish flavor with malt, metal, some subdued notes of hops. Finish is quite dry but not really hoppy. Medium-bodied. Not that bad, but really boring.

Bottled. An unclear dark brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet wheaty with light notes of caramel and a slight acidity from the wheaty. The flavor is very sweet with notes of hard roasted malt combined with an acidic note of wheat, and hints of smoke, leading to a dry bitter finish. The combination making it very refreshing.

On tap at Bruxellensis. Cloudy pale gold colour with lasting white head. Pretty good, nice character. Nice light lager, being unfiltered gives it character.

On tap at Bruxellensis. Hazy chestnut/orange colour with lasting beige head. Bit nutty. Quite smooth. Got quite good character.3/5. Re-rate 500ml bottle from Real in Munchengladbach. Attractive clear chestnut thick lasting beige head. Blander in bottle than on draught at Bruxellensis,. I remember that beer distinctly and remember being reasonalby impressed, it reminded me of an English bitter. Over carbonated which gives it a harsh metallic sting. A slightly malty beer with minimum hop on finish. OK, but not terribly interesting. 2.8/5
