Bottled at Man in The Moon, Stockholm. Clear amber, small head. Aroma of grapefruit peels. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Grapefruit and pine over crystallic malt. Resinous bitter finish.

Bottle: Slightly hazy cola brown with a tan head. Caramel, molasses, salt.....almost a peanut brittle-like scent. Taste is very different.....sweet-salty-oily-bitter.....syrupy and salty.....ever increasing amounts of melted caramel. Totally unexpected and unusual. Really fun and tasty.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a almost tan, but more off-white head about three centimetres tall that fades fairly quickly, but leaves a nice top to the beer. Aroma of roasted malt, prunes, licorice, grain and a dose of pure vanilla extract/essence to the mix with a nice deep robust roasty scent throughout. Medium-bodied; Nice mellow malty flavour with a roasty bite at first that shows some light coffee, but more of the pitted fruits and grain aspects and finishes with a light but noticeable vanilla kick. Aftertaste shows some refined sugars with a bit of the licorice still roaming around, but more of the vanilla and roasty malts that come through along with a kick from the coffee which is still lingering throughout. Overall, a nice and robust porter with a definite kick from the licorice and vanilla and a bit less so from the coffee and earth. Nice to try and well recommended as long as you realise that this is a 'normal' beer not 'imperial'. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Knightly Spirits (Orange Blossom Trail) in Orlando, Florida on 28-December-2017 for US$2,29 sampled in my hotel room here at the Disney World Dolphin on 30-December-2017.

Bottle shared on Level 42 for Cloin's 20K Tasting, 13/09/2017. Many thnaks to Colin of r this one. A hazed amber orange coloured pour with a loose light pink head. Aroma is jammy sweet, raspberry sweet, . Flavour is composed of semi sweet, raspberry, blackberry, spicy tangy finish. Paalte is semi sweet and atnagy. Spicy finish. Good.

Bottle split at my 20K, from an IP trade with me old mucker ... Joe Muck, Lambic from Ohio - who knew? 13/09/17. Murky orange to red with a decent off white covering. Nose is tangy red berry, spice, musty wood, shades of damp alleyway, hay bale. Taste comprises sharp blackberries, funk, wood must, damp straw, light citric strike, berry pips, stale bread, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok fruit lambic but some way from top draw.

Bottle at L42 thanks to Mr 20kay. It pours murky orange - amber with a small white head. The aroma is musty, funky, musty, musty, oaky, vanilla, icing sugar, berry skin, fruit compote and bake well tart. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, blackcurrant sorbets sugary, funk, lemon- lime, sour candy, Granny Smith apple, light acidity, minerals and sour pineapple with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well rounded and quaffable.
