Description
It’s a fun business, but our brewer takes the term “Craft Beer” seriously. It’s part art, part science, and part unbridled obsession that makes him devote himself to making the best beer for our Atlantic Beach guests. Each beer is made right here – it’s truly tank to table – and each beer has its own story. Come in, share a bite and pass a pint with us.

Tried on tap at the Florida Brew Fest 2011 addition. It pours a nice looking amber with copper hues and full firm tan head. The aroma is dusty and nutty rolling into maltiness and a touch of roasted malts. The taste is kind of roasty, kind of malty, kind of nutty as well as a touch earthy and a touch spicy with hops. None of these flavor notes would be considered even modest in strength as they all sort of swirl and twist around as wispy thin manifolds. Into the finish it picks up soft sweet malty lagery notes and faint caramel taking this into the sweet lagery after taste. Nice brew.

On tap at the Ragtime brewpub. Pours darkness with brown edges and tan head. The aroma is burnt malts, a touch of molasses and a sense of biscuit. The taste is roasty, burnt malts, a bit of chocolate, smoke and black strap molasses. A light note of malt sweetness wells up to join the other notes as it slides into the finish. Cool and interesting brew. The touch of smokiness was a tasty surprise.

On tap at the Ragtime brewpub. Pours gold with lasting bright white head. The aroma is banana, grains and cloves. The taste has the classic clove and banana and a sense of grain flavor found in some wheat brews. It turns watery toward midway leaving fading banana and clove notes whimpering into the aftertaste.

On tap at the Ragtime brewpub. Pours deep copper to brown with white head. The aroma has notes of crystal malts, roasted malts and a faint caramel sensation. The taste is modestly roasty with maybe crystal malts mixing with a dash of highly roasted maltiness. By midway a thin layer of vague hoppiness helps take this to the finish.

On tap at the Ragtime brewpub. Pours clear pure gold with virtually no head. The aroma emits soft notes of floral hops and some graininess. The taste is crisp with a nice mix of fresh floral hops and grains. It thins out midway and to the finish with the grains, floral hops and spicy hops keeping the slick yet thin malty sweetness in check.

On tap at the Ragtime brewpub. The server claimed this was an 8% beer. Hmm. Pours copper with thin white head. The aroma is nice with citrus and pine hops as well as some malt sweetness. The taste has a modest hoppy pine and citrus bitter bite up front with sweet malts soon following behind. The hop bitterness persists at this modes level revealing a touch of astringency now and then. Nice stuff.
