Bomber. Pour is a thick and dark brown with about three fingers of tan head. Aromas are chocolate and burnt malt with a touch of whisky or anise and charcoal. Flavor is excellent… don’t get me wrong, if you want a big, huge, gigantic imperial stout with tons of alcoholic burn, this isn’t it. Still, it is full-flavored and well-balanced as all of the suspects who presented themselves in the nose are in their full glory in the flavor.

22oz bottle in Columbus, Ohio. Cloudy amber brown with a thick cream head; aroma of oranges and caramel malts; sharply bitter hop flavours make the mouth tingle. Under the hops there are sweet citrus flavours. A very drinkable IPA let down by the appearance.

Bottle shared by miketd at AS BA release! Nose of coffee, chocolate, and roastiness; Black with brown edges and a small tan head; flavor of chocolate, coffee, and hop bitterness which lasted into a bitter chcolate finish!

Bottle... Label is kind of fun. Pours a dark brown with a finger or so of head that dies back very quickly. Aromas are of dark fruit, candi sugar and a touch of maybe some anise. Flavor is a nice mix of the above that comes off as well crafted and nicely balanced and complex enough for my tastes.

Bottle. Pour is a dark amber with a smallish beige head. The aroma is thick and sweet... but not very complex. Almost has a bit of a stale beer smell to it... like that bottle you find half full a week later. In spite of that, this beer has a surprisingly thin texture... I thought I would be drowning in syrupy malt sweetness, but there are vast holes in the palate development where virtually nothing is going on. Right off the bat, nothing... then slowly a bit of caramel maltiness and then-wait for it-then a bit of a hops spiciness finishes things off... Completely underwhelming...

22oz bomber via trade courtesy of crizay. Pours a clear brown-ish copper with big off white head. The aroma is grapefruit, orange juice, orange rind, a hint of pine, a bit of earthiness and light malt sweetness. The flavor starts with bitter grapefruit hops that slowly turn to sweeter orange juice citrus hops and sweet malts. Into the finish the grapefruit bitterness builds some and rides into the after taste along with orange rind and malt sweetness. Spot on IPA.

Bomber-sized bottle. Dark amber body with a 2 finger head sitting on top. Aromas are wonderfully hoppy in all the right IPA ways: pineappleness and floral notes with a carmel malt promise hiding just under the surface. Flavor is big on hops, but there is more than enough malt presence to keep things from going astray. Hops (unlike suggested by the aroma) are piney with some grapefruit peel and a little bit of pinapple. Nice brew, that comes off just a bit thin from time to time.

Light amber color. The aroma is nice, hoppy and resiny, sharp. Quite good body strength; there is some malt flavor, some caramel, strong toffee; and extreme bitterness, harsh, powerful, resiny, with just a touch of citrus fruits.
