Draft 8 oz pour at Breakwater Brewing, Vista. Clean and bright golden pour. Thin oily head. Earthy grain nose, bold, some grassy notes, pine heavy hops. Huge bite. Intense bitter. Mild citrus, barely a touch of stone fruit. Has a Triple IPA feel. Big time brewm. Very nice.

On tap at Breakwater, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small beige head. Aroma is dry, with spicy rye, bready malt, and toasted malt. Flavour is dry, with lots of spicy rye, bready malt, and a hint of toasted nuts. Dry and malty, with just enough spiciness from the rye. Good stuff.

On tap at Breakwater, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of oak, some old earthiness, and a touch of lactose. Flavour is odd, with lactose, oak, and earthiness. Strange blend; it's alright.

Sample at GABF 10/05/2019, thanks to kathryneels for assistance with note-taking. Dark amber-brown color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lace. Malt, rye and fruit aromas. Medium body with flavors of mildly spicy rye malt, fruit and earthy hop. The finish is malty with a rye and hop aftertaste. Decent overall.
