Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark brown color with red highlights and a medium sized creamy orange-tan head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was malty, toasty, woody and slightly bitter. The flavor was toasty caramel, honey and vague fruits. Medium length finish. Medium body and smooth. Pleasant.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark red-brown color with a medium sized creamy orange-white head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was sweetish caramel and vague fruity hops. The flavor was bitter and tarty with some vague fruity hops. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky peach color with a pinkish hue and a small foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was semi sweet and yeasty with cracker and pink grapefruit. The flavor was tart with pink grapefruit and yeast. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a medium caramel color with a medium sized foamy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweetish and yeasty with a hint of fruit. The flavor was tangy and sweetish with caramel and a bit of fruit. Medium length finish. Medium body and smooth. Pleasant.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark golden color with a small foamy white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was tangy with cracker and a hint of perfumey hops. The flavor was tangy and sweetish with grass, perfume and artificial grape notes. Medium length finish. Medium body. Pretty good for what it is.

Sample from cask at the 13th annual Smokehouse Mini Real Ale Fest on 05/14/2016. Dark brown color with a medium tan head that recedes gradually to a dense film. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, oak and dark fruit. Medium body with flavors of oak, berries and roasted malt. The finish is fruity with a berry aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at The CI as part of Ohio Brew Week. Slightly hazy straw color with a medium thin white head that evaporates steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, yeast and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of citrus, herbal yeast and pale malts. The finish is fruity with a mild citrus and yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a clear copper-orange color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to a wispy film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, citrus and doughy malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample from cask at the 12th annual Smokehouse Mini Real Ale Fest on 05/16/15: Murky reddish-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, caramel and oak. Medium-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, citrus, oak and hops. The finish is oaky and malty with an earthy hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

The aroma is malty with dark fruit and hops notes. Medium-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, earthy hops and dark fruit. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.
