Bottle on The Weardale Explorer - 813, thanks to Neil, 05/04/2025.
Murky orange amber topped with an off white cap that clears edgewards.
Nose is bitter orange, grass, ripe melon, citric tinged straw, hop spice.
Taste comprises orange pith, grapefruit, grass, pine nip.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close spiked with earthy hop bitterness.
Okay old skool leaning IPA if a touch raw in places.

Bottle at the hotel in Corralejo. Initially I wasnt sure what was off, but the pour was rather hazy, the aroma definitely had some yeast expression and so did the taste, the body had some interesting acidity I couldnt place and the beer was sooo dry. More likely than not this is a kveik pale ale, and not a too bad one at that in fact. I’m not a fan of kveik tho.
