Bottled at Horsens Beerfestival. Clear, yellow beer with a large-bubbled white head. Sweet and spicy aroma with wheat and hops. Spiced, wheaty and sweet flavor. Medium to full body and a finish with spices and hops. (061028)

Bottled, 0.75cl at Horsens Beerfestival. Clear, golden with a small white head. Sweet aroma with banana and coriander. The flavor is sweet, with banana and spices. Medium body and drying mouthfeel. It doesn’t leave me with that Christmas-feeling, but it’s a decent beer. (061028)

I’m not always a fan of these belgian interpretations of this style (De Glanzen Toren, for example), but this is quite nice - cloudy copper pour with lasting, substantial lace - wood and vanilla in the nose, with touches of toffee, nuts, over-ripe apples - the flavor has much of the same - a light woody character comes through first, followed by some caramelized brown sugar - caramel/toffee flavors combine with light acidity and fruity esters to create a flavor not unlike a caramel apple - slight bitterness comes out in the finish, keeping the sweetness from overstaying its welcome - not bad at all.

Bottle. Different label than above - listed as Trple Amber Ale, but alcohol is the same. Rich amber beer with an off-white head Rich malt and dried fruit aroma. Yeasty, malty, plum flavor with too sweet of a backing. Medium bodied. Lingering sweetness with some earthy yeastiness.

Bottled (7%). Pale yellow colour, HUGE white creamy head. Aroma is fruit, alcohol and slightly glueish. Some yeast and candy sugar in it also. Flavour is sweet sugar with hints of yeast and earth. Some vanilla and fruits also. Unbalanced. Where’s the rum?

Bottled (BB 04/2007). Golden color, small white head. Sweet corn and papery aroma. Sweetish malty, some harsh notes in the finish. Foamy mouthfeel. Not really hoppy for being "pilsener" here, more or less ordinary pale lager.
