Description
Cross Borders’ origins trace back to an illicit biscuit cartel run by our two founders in primary school. This brewery IS THE RESULT OF YEARS OF friendship, HARD WORK, EXPERIENCE, AND a refusal to grow up. Based in leafy midlothian we brew braw beer you’ll want to drink again and again (responsibly of course).

On cask at Dean Tavern in Newtongrange - cloudy yellow body lacing white head. Sweet citrus hop nose with a sweet lemon 🍋 taste. Decent. And a picture of a lemon on my review.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Cork & Cask. Pours clear honey-gold with a billowing, frothy white head. Light to medium sweet flavour, big spicy yeast, wheat flakes, some citrus rind, cracked grains, hay, esters, a little grass. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Light warmth in the finish, some candi sugar, melon, tangerine. Nice old-school saison.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden yellow with a light haze. Snow white, generous head. Nose - bread, lemon, pineapple and a base sweet coconut note. Taste - bitter lemon, dried pineapple and light grapefruit. Pithy and grated coconut. Palate - light bodied, fruity, tangy middle and a finish that is nicely dried out by the coconut and pithiness. Overall - good, could happily scud another.
