On tap @ As-Is NYC, December 2019. Labeled as: Foxwhelp. Wine glass pour. Clear, bright, gold body. Smell is of calcified apples. Taste is lightly tart, with bitter apple skin, wine seconds & lots of tannins. There's some generic grocery apple fruitiness in the middle, but it becomes more pithy as it warms. Incredibly dry & even a little numbing. Solid. Eden often back-sweetens, but I can't really tell here.

375ml bottle from Cider is Wine. Deep amber brown colour, no head and aroma of port, boozy, brown sugar, oak barrel, dried fruits, apple pie, very complex. Taste is sweet, syrupy, concentrated apple, figs, dried fruits, with pastry & apple pie hints, and tannins, some tartness, then walnuts, nutty. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry nutty and sweet syrupy finish. Amazing complexity, very sippable.

750ml bottle from Cider is Wine. Zoom tasting. Hazy pale yellow colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of juicy apple, some tart fruit, vanilla, light funk. Taste is tangy apple, fruity, yeasty notes, hint of honey, some tart acidity and light tannins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish. Nice balance, easy drinking.

750ml bottle from Cider is Wine. 2019 vintage. Zoom tasting. Sparkling, bright golden colour, short-lived white foamy head and aroma of tropical fruit, apple, core, citric, caramel, tannic. Taste is sweetish, pineapple, fruity, apple, bittersweet, earthy and tannic. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry fruity tannic finish with alittle residual sugar. Nicely drinkable.

Pours a fuzzy pale straw from a bottle, very effervescent. Aroma is rich triple creme cheese with somewhat faint apple. Flavor is similar with flecks of granite and minerals. Very bubbly, almost too much so, nearly bone dry. Good cider.

Pours a lovely clear reddish-brown with hints of purple lurking in the depths. Notes of oak, cherry, and concentrated apple waft. Complex, vinegary cherry and apple flavor. Sweet and syrupy, but with a nice acidic/tannic finish. Very good cider.

Pours a pale yellow straw from a bottle, still. Very light faint aroma is floral when you can pick it up. Slightly dry, nearly insipid. Good cider, wish it were less restrained.

375ml bottle from Appalachian Vinter. 2018 batch. Stemless wineglass @ home. Big ole sudsy head, fine amber clarity. Persistent activity. Smell is of freshly macerated apples, saline & light cedar. Taste is soft, buttery, sauced apples with a mineral-y middle. Shy tartness, wood chips, murky browned apple flesh flavor. Carbonation is soft but constant. Semi-sweet or slightly more, but not rich. Not quite thin. This is okay, but a bit lacking. The few other keeved English ciders I've had were better.

Pours a lovely clear gold from a bottle. Very interesting herbal nose, definite anise and light basil notes. Very dry and herbal, somewhat like a sweet light vermouth. Pretty good cider.

Pours a clear golden straw color from a bottle. The aroma is amazing, floral, vanilla, honey/golden syrup, all wrapped around a rich clear “apple”. Falls flat in the mouth a bit, nicely dry but not full flavored, thin and tannic, but surprisingly one note after the polyphony of the nose. Somewhat effervescent. Pretty good cider.
