Bomber from La Riviera in Sacramento, CA. Pours brown with a slight, transient dark tan head. Very nice coffee aroma. Med + body. Flavor is very nice coffee, nigh espresso for me, and something like chocolate in a milk stout base. Yummy. Very light bitter. Slightly earthy. Got to wonder what it would be like imperialized.

Bomber from La Riviera. Pours dark copper/amber with an off-white head. Aroma of malt with that chocolate hint I find in many ambers. Med body or so. Flavor is malty, earthy, has a slight chocolate note, and some hop. Maybe some woody/spicy stuff. It’s not dry, but there’s a little bitter to help with the malt. More hop would benefit it.

Sample at Craft Tap House. This beer pours a clear amber color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lace. Malt, caramel and slight hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, fruit and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle to pint. Pours black with full brown head. Aroma of pine and roast. Taste was towards the toasty side and didn’t allow the hops to shine fully. Slight resin and citrus when present. Oily.
