Clear cherry color with a thin creamy light brown head. Light roasted malt aroma. Strong roasted almost burnt malt flavor with a grainy aftertaste.

I am not a big Abita fan. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a copper color with a large tan head. The aroma is sweet and lightly fruity with a slightly macro sour undertone. The flavor is sour macro tang with a sweet underside that is moderately bready. The finish is a bit chewy.

Pour is a almost cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is almost next to nothing. Flavor is quite good! Yeast and hops both make an apperance here and quite strong at that. Flavor puts this one in my maybe catagory. Good flavor but weak otherwise. If i saw this on sale somewhere I would deffinatly buy a case.

Bottle Pours a clear very dark brown. Thick dense tan head and heavy lacing. Sweet lightly roasted malts on the nose. With slightly sour papery notes as well. Dark roasted flavors, smokey but simple and one dimensional. Thin feel, lightly hopped per the style. Sour almost porterish taste as well. Just OK.

Bottle. Slight sweet malt aroma. Copper color with small head. Very light flavor - caramel malt. I don’t know what happened to Abita - seemed to be a lot better 15 years ago. Seems much weaker now.

First thing I noticed was the lack of a strong aroma. Poured dark brown with a half inch or so of head. Tasted malty along with some chocolate. The flavor doesnt sit in your mouth very long which was a little dissapointing since its a pretty tasty beer.

Flaxen-amber body, thin off-white head. Fresh earthy, grassy hops aroma with a nice, lightly sweet biscuity malt backbone. The body is rather thin, but the grassy, earthy hops take precedence over the simple, toasty, bready malts. This does remind me of a California Common or a malty pilsener. Long, earthy, slightly bitter herbal finish. Kind of plain but refreshing.
