12 oz bottle from Total Wine. Pours a pitch black color with a thick light tan head and great retention. Great lacing too. Faint dark roasted barley aroma. Good dark roasted barley malt flavor with minor licorice notes. I'm not picking up any of the salty notes from the oysters. Smooth and clean. Semi-creamy texture. And the 8.0% ABV is very well hidden. Nice stout. Medium-heavy body. Medium-light carbonation. Low bitterness.

12oz bottle c/o Ryan. Not that impressive for a Kolsch, tastes more like an American Blonde Ale...nutty tone that isn't at all appropriate for a Kolsch. Straightforward and easy drinking, decent bitter balance.

Slightly hazy golden yellow with moderate white head. Honey, apple, biscuit malt, hay, and alcohol aroma. Moderately sweet honey, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter hay and alcohol flavor. Good body. A bit boozy.

advent Calendar tasting. Cloudy orange color with small white head. Aroma of citrus, soluable C vitamin tablet, light pines. Taste is hop centered with citrus hop, light pines. Alcohol is well hidden.

Black with a huge foamy brown head that lingered and left good lacing. Roasty, bitter and slughtly sweet with cola, coffee and vanilla notes. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

AROMA: medium to medium-low malt aroma (toffee-like to light caramel with slight breadcrust). APPEARANCE: light amber color and hazy with material in suspension. medium beige head, creamy, with ok retention. TASTE: medium-low malt flavor (toffee-like) with slight nuttiness. medium bitterness with a dry finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low body with medium carbonation. slight astringency.
