An unclear dark amber beer with an OK beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of both caramel and yeast. The flavor is sweet matly with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of dust, hops, and citrus - I guess it all stems from the hops. I find it good for being Frensh.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Fluffy white micro head. Funky grass and hay notes. Smooth with a fizzy cream bitter honey and a lasting bitter finish.

A lot of alcohol in the aroma of this beer. It reminds me of a Scotch ale. It lacks any weirdness that is present in some beers of this style, and instead has a straightforward flavor of sweet malt and very light spices. Cloudy and light red, but no visible sediment. Also a very large cream colored head, and this sticks around until the end of the beer.

Bright reddish-brown colour. Caramelly, slightly earthy malt aroma with light background yeast. Quite spritzy. Once you get past the carbo, it’s got some interesting malt complexity. There’s a bit of tartness late.

Hazy amber colour. Yeasty aroma with firm malts, light spiciness. Hazy yeastiness, light maltiness. Not bad, but rather nondescript and overly yeasty.

Copper color with lasting head - floral, perfum-like aroma, with background spicy hops - a bit one-dimensional for the style - it drinks more like a standard amber ale - a very dry, toasted bread flavor dominates, with a hint of honey-like sweetness near the finish - drinkable, but nothing special.

Nutty brown with fine white lasting head. Sweet aroma of caramel and nuts. (Same aroma as westmalle dubbel) Lively carbonation. The texture is filling. A little sweetness from dark fruits and malts and then a slight bitter finish. (Not as sweet as the average Belgium Kerst, Great! )

Hazy yellow with fine lasting white head. (Looks very much like a pilsner) Aroma and taste is spicy and yeasty. Fine and pleasant bitterness from the hops. Medium carbonation. Long and bitter finish! Great

Bottle: Poured a murky brown color ale with a super huge foamy head with good retention. Aroma of grainy malt is quite dominating with a light funky touch coming from the yeast. Taste is quite complex with some caramel malt that end up a bit dry with some sweetness and a light funky and bitter finish. Body is above average and alcohol is well hidden. Better the most take on this sometime ambiguous style.

Bottle. Large creamy white head with good duration. Color is pale yellow. Malty aroma. Taste is a bit watery with a hint of alcohol (quite and odd taste really).
