2006 version. Golden coloured beer with an verflowing thick white head, lacing. Light crisp malts with herbal grassy notes. Light sweet malt in mouth, with biscuity notes, good hopping, medium bodied. A decent garde, but not as good as Gavroche. Bought at Joanette.

Dark golden beer with an extra onctuous off white head. Lightly spiced malt aroma with light hops. In mouth, sweet malt with nuttyness, scotch notes, and warming alcohol. Light vanilla and wood notes develop later. Very nice. My dad says: uplifting! From Joanette, 2.69$ a bottle.

A light orange beer with a white head. The aroma is yeasty combined with notes of lemon, while the flavor is sweet with notes of yeast and spices, leading to a dry hoppy and grassy end.

(750ml bottle shared by pivnizub) Slightly hazy and pale golden coloured hue with loads of yeast floaties and a short diminishing white frothy head. Moderately sweet malty and grainy aroma with notes of citrus. Sweet flavour, medium body, lively carbonation. Moderately sweet malty, honey-fruity and yeasty taste. Medium sweet malty and light fruity finish with a slight but balanced bitterness and an well-integrated alcohol.

Brassin d’Hiver. Deep reddish brown ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, spicey butterscotch, very buttery, a bit too much. In mouth, sweet caramel with light lingering hops, notes of pears, and an oily mouthfeel. Medium bodied.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown color ale with a medium bubbly head with slightly better then average retention. Aroma of quiet sweet malt with not really much else going on. Taste is also dominated at first by sweet caramel malt but there is a definite watery feeling at the end that I didn’t enjoy. There is also an unrefined grain taste that I didn’t particularly enjoy. I’m glad we now seem to have more and more beer available from this brewer but I would enjoy them even more if they were as good as they were a couple years ago.
