Description
WAYFINDER BEER is a new brewery project in Portland, Oregon. We have transformed a 8,900 square feet of a century-old brick warehouse in Portland's Central Eastside into a classic destination for beer and food lovers.

Wayfinder is the brainchild of Charlie Devereux (co-founder of Double Mountain Brewery), Matthew Jacobson (co-founder/owner of Sizzle Pie, Quality Bar, and Relapse Records) and Rodney Muirhead (co-founder/owner of Podnah's Pit and La Taq). Our mission: to bring simple and authentic pleasures of the highest quality to the Rose City and beyond.

Guests to Wayfinder will find enjoyment in our 110-seat taphall, or outside on our massive patio. Our menu of handcrafted comfort food features deliciousness from a custom wood-fired grill. We're using our four-vessel, 10-barrel brewhouse to create world-class lagers and ales for onsite enjoyment and wholesale distribution.

On tap at Wayfinder, pours a hazy orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma is loaded with candied sweetness, resinous hop oils and light alcohol. Flavour is intense, with lots of resinous hop oils, booze, and perfume. Boozy and messy, as with many triple IPAs. Not bad.

On tap at Wayfinder, pours a cloudy bright yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank, citrus hops upfront, with floral notes and biscuity malt. Flavour is lightly dank, with piney, weedy hops, citrus and dry crisp biscuity malt. Nicely dank, with a piney dry finish. Excellent.

On tap at Wayfinder, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of dank, weedy hops upfront, followed by toasted biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with dank hops, some pine and crisp biscuity malt. Piney and dry. Nothing special, but well done.

On tap at Wayfinder, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted caramel malt, some toffee and a hint of dark fruits. Flavour is intensely malty, with caramel malt, toasted bread and toffee. Nicely constructed, with a robust palate. Very good.

On tap at Wayfinder, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp grassy notes and crackery malt. Flavour is crisp and grassy, with crackery malt and crisp grassy hops. Very crisp, nicely structured and balanced. Very good pils.

On tap at Wayfinder, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out herbal notes and crisp crackery malt. Flavour follows the same lines, with crisp crackery malt and light herbal notes. Dry and cerealy on the finish. Solid.

On tap at Belmont Station, Portland, Oregon. Pours a clear straw colour with a small off-white head. Slightly sour aroma of grass, wet hay and minerals. The flavour has more grass, sweet malt, hay, white bread and spicy hops. Has a slick mouth feel, light to medium body and light to medium bitterness. A balanced and fresh pale lager. Solid taste but weak aroma.

On tap at loyal legion Portland. Pours out a crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is sweet caramel toffee malts pine and big hops. Taste is more of the nice sweet caramel hops along with a pine citrus kick.

Taster at Loyal Legion. Orange golden pour, small tight creamy head. Faint aroma build up to a much stronger taste. Hoppy, caramel, pine. Spruce too. Resin, bitter finish.
