Description
All Superior Lakes Mead is handcrafted using the finest of ingredients. We use raw Michigan honey, straight from the beekeeper and just like our fruit most of it’s direct from Michigan farms.

"To make a quality mead, you need a have a quality honey — a pure, raw honey."

We craft our award winning mead in small batches allowing us to pay special attention to each during the wine making process. Our “Limited Release”s are produced once a year and in very small amounts so get them while you can.

375mL bottle pours with a clear deep mahogany colored body that tosses up thin legs. The aroma pulses with oak and bourbon booze, a touch of vanilla and then faint caramel. The taste delivers boozy bourbon and oak that borders on being a bit harsh. It gets oaky, a bit vanilla and caramel. Well behind those notes is a mild sweet honey sweetness. After a while it grows on me but remains too barrel forward and too rough around the edges.
