A golden lager with a thick collapsing white head. In aroma, a lightly sulfury malt with light mineral notes. In mouth, a sweet malt with grainy notes, bready, very faint hopping, innofensive. Can from Angkor market, 0.60$.

Chevy Chase WIne and Liquors 330ml ($2ish): Pours a darkish amber color with a white head. Aroma is not very powerful, but there is some caramel lodged in there. The beer itself is kind of sweet, but still manageable. Easy drinking for sure, perhaps also because it is lacking in complexity. Some of those macro ugly flavors, but also a touch of hops here and there. Not a bad beer, if not the most inspired.

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. It looks nice in the glass, a dark copper colored body and a dense, off-white to light beige head. Some dried fruits in the aroma, else quite weak. Wort and caramel too. Not very interesting and pleasant, not really foul either. The flavor is very similar, semi-sweet and with a decent bitterness towards the end. Medium body and pleasant carbonation. Overall, not a beer tempting to repeat, but I guess I could drink a few if I were in Laos. 110516

33cl bottle. Pale golden, very gentle bubbles, some head. On the nose, there is sweetcorn and some pale malt follows it soon. More pale malt and a lemon and zing. The palate is light to medium in body, the finish is bitter hops, maybe spring onion at a stretch. Overall, very drinkable lager which could be hidden amongst German lagers.
