On tap at Melkebaren. It pours an almost black body undera minimal sized dark beige head. Nice curtains saves a four for appearance. The aroma is burnt and roasted with lots of chocolate and some coffee beans. Sure nice, but perhaps a bit one dimensional. The flavor too is roasted and burnt with lots of coffee and chocolate, lacking a bit on complexity. Lots of maltyness going on, not enough of the hops I think. Still, it’s sure a nice one. Full to medium body, very smooth on the palate. The low carbonation level helps making it dangerously drinkable. Long roasted finish. I prefer my porters more complex, but it is a fine drink anyway. 140305

Small glass, draught at Bar Bowling Førtito in Sarpsborg. Cloudy amber coloured body. Dissipating beige head. Aroma is fruity and honey sweet. Fresh flavours of tropical fruits and smooth honeyed sweetness followed by a twist of dried fruity bitterness towards the ending. Soft in the mouth. Fine bodied. Well made with splendid drinkability (Tour de Østfold, RBNG 15.02.2014).

On tap @ Ujevnt. Only a tiny filmy dark grey head on top of a deep deep dark brown almost black looking body. Smells lovely roasted with dark chocolate and some sweet licorice. Light burned aromas also with deep roasted coffee beans. Tastes just as good as the aroma. A kinda light almost a bit thin oily mouthfeel with a gentle a tad to soft carbonation level. Sweeter flavors at first. Dark brown sugar with wet grass and a burned roasted profile. Quite lightdrinkable and really tasty. Lots of chocolate in the finish and aftertaste. Gets a bit one dimensional in the long run. 24.01.2014
