Small slightly brown bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet roasted, dark malts, roasted coffee, chocolate, nuts, caramel, hay. Taste is slightly sweet, kind of sour-ish roasted dark malts, hay, nuts, coffee, wet grain, dark sugar, lactose, hints of cardboard. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and thin mouthfeel, a little fizzy carbonation. Nice enough, some minor problems with the head/carbonation. And a little thicker body and control on the carbonation will lift this one a lot.

On tap at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. A lightly unclear one, golden in color and topped by a decent, off-white head. Some lacings. Citrus, some peaches and in general tropical fruits in the aroma. Not much maltyness going on. The flavor has a faint sweetness and a nice bitterness, as well as the same fruityness found in the aroma. Dryins, medium body. Lasting finish with fruityness and bitterness. Tasteful, quenching and easy drinkable.131029

On tap at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. A clear, brown beer with a small, beige head. Roasted nose, coffee-ish, with dark berries, a faint licorice touch and some nuttyness. It’s fruity on the palate, with dried fruits, coffee hints and some nuts. Dry on the palate, medium bodied and nicely carbonated. An esy drinkable one, quite nice too, but nothing extraordinary going on. 131019

Sample at Nærbø Ølfestival. Deep golden colour with a white head. aroma is hop, pine, flower, malt. Flavour is hop, pine, flower, malt, tropical fruit. Nice/OK beer.

Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. Slightly unclear golden body with a white head. Really nice aroma of citric and tropical hops. Flavor has a nice soft maltiness with refreshing fruity hops as found in the aroma. Decent bitterness and balanced in body. Nice and refreshing as expected from a fresh APA.

On tap @ Voss bryggeri,with VANØ Bergen. Pours very dark brown with a big creamy mocha head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts, nuts, chocolate and kandi. Medium body with quite thin texture and soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet with roasted malts, nuts and chocolate, with a quite short sweetly finish.

Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. Dark brown body, close to black with a beige head. Very nice aroma of dark malt, toast, dry fruit and hint of liquorice. Flavor is sweet malty, caramel, dry fruit and moderate bitterness. Medium body and decent aftertaste, feels actually less sweeter in the aftertaste – almost a tiny hint of something sour here without disturbing anything. A rather nice brown ale, but nothing outstanding.

330ml draught, served at a perfect drinking temperature at Parkteatret. Deep cola black body colour. Disappearing tan-coloured head. Aroma of anise and dark malts. Mid-sweet flavours of dark chocolate, nuts and anise. Roasted malt bitter ending. Fine balanced. Medium bodied. Drinks well (Oslo 02.09.2013).
