Sweet wort. Murky brown with almost no head. Light tart sour malts. The only actual sour of the bunch but no fruit.

Super hazy golden coloured body with a peach and light orange glow along with a thinnish off-white head that fades very quickly. Aroma of mangoes, rich sweetness, a bit of canned fruit sweetness and a touch of sour or tart notes as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong tart flavour of mangoes and sour grapes and pure malt along with some alcohol and more pungent dry grass notes, but still a lot of sweetness and a touch of the sour mangoes. Aftertaste shows some rounded qualities with a bit of malt and alcohol noticeable, but still, very little else aside from sweetness and sour mangoes. Overall, a sweet and very tart beer that shows way more of a fruit beer than a lambic, even though there is a lot of effervescence, it’s not in terms of spontaneous fermentation, it just seems like the yeast did it’s job. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Jason’s Market Place at Taipei 101 in Taipei, Taiwan on 24-July-2017 for NT$120 sampled in my hotel room in central Taipei, Taiwan on 27-July-2017.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, light brown head, about a centimetre tall. Aroma of roasted malt, oats, longan berries, cherries, caster sugar, lactose and a deep dose of alcohol near the end. Medium-bodied; Rich chocolatey flavour with a lot of nuts, earth, lactose, cream and even fruity flavours that are very noticeable and rich, but the malt and sugars really dominate here. Aftertaste shows a nice chocolatey bite with some grain, alcohol, milk and sugar, along with some longan, fruity and nutty bites. Overall, a surprisingly nice stout with a rich fruity and lactose flavour throughout. I sampled 33 cL bottle purchased from Jason’s Market Place in Taipei, Taiwan a few hours ago on 24-July-2017 for NT$130 sampled at my hotel room here in central Taipei, Taiwan on 24-July-2017.

Deep amber and brown coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of coffee, earth, nuts, toffee, caramel and a bit of light medicinal notes. Light to Medium-bodied; Earthy body up front with a smooth caramel and sweet flavour that shows quite a bit of coffee near the end, more of a brewed type than any beans or strong flavour, but finishing with some light earthy malts and a tiny bit of caster sugar. Aftertaste shows hazelnuts, earth, toasted malt and a light amount of coffee and no real alcohol at all. Overall, a nice and refreshing beer with a lot of flavour and a smooth finish that make drinking pale lagers seem worthless. Naturally, this doesn’t really compare with some of the better beers from the USA, but a good option while over on this side of the world. I sampled this 330 mL bottle purchased a few minutes ago at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Supermarket in 2B in Central Taipei, Taiwan on 23-July-2017 for NT$120 sampled in my hotel room right next to the supermarket on 23-July-2017. Production date on bottle of 09-June-2017.
