16 oz. Aroma has notes of chocolate, dark bread. Pours root beer brown with a three finger beige head with excellent retention. Taste has a cookie malt sweetness backed by a big and beautiful hoppy bitterness. Awesome schwarz, maybe the best I’ve ever had.

On tap at The Growler Guys PDX S Bond, pours a clear pale golden with a small beige head. Aroma brings out resinous and piney hops, followed by plenty of earthiness, and biscuity malt. Flavour reveals a rather earthy and sweaty hop character that doesn't really work for me. It doesn't have the resinous or piney character, nor any fruity vibrancy. Not so great.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber brown with a light grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has some dark grains and light roast with a bit of chocolate and dark fruits underlying. Flavor has notes of dark grains and caramel with growing chocolate and a touch of dark fruits in the finish.
