On Tap at Taphouse, Boise Dark brown black with a brief tan head Robust porter, lots of dark chocolate roasted malt aromas and flavors. Lacking the thin sourness that a lot of porters have. Modest wiskey flavors.

Can to glass, pours a dark golden orange color with a minute white cap... Decent amount of sheet lacing. The nose is subtle, grapefruit and florals. Taste is floral and grassy hops, lightly sweet malt. Not a lot of bitterness. OK.

On tap at Payette. Nice juniper aroma, piney, soft, hazy, golden body, skin of a head. Taste blends the normal Saison elements with the woodsy juniper berries, mildly astringent finish.

Can. Pours a medium depth brown color with a thin beige head. Nose is roast and chocolate, more emphasis on the chocolate. Good roast flavor and again chocolate. Lightly bittersweet. A little thin in the body, but overall pretty good.

On Tap clear rather dark rusty brown. Thick sopay sandy head. Quite malty and smooth. Soft woody flavors and very muted soft hoppiness. Very littel biter bite at the end. Session-able I’d say if it were a full point lower. Unimpressive otherwise.

Pours out a dark brown with minimal beige head, kind of airy, tiny bits of lacing. Aroma is normal, but flavor is where this one is at. Chocolaty, roast grains with bit of bitterness at the back, mildly sweet finish. Nice porter.
