Description
10 Barrel Brewing was founded by three fellas in Bend, Oregon in 2006 who wanted to brew beer, drink beer and have a ton of fun while doing so. 10 years later and we're still following suit. Whether we're shredding the mountain, drinking cold ones by the fire after work or floating down the river. We always have fun with a beer in hand.

On Tap at the Boise brewery. Hazy light orange with a short lived fizzy white head. Sour but mostly generic light fruit aroma. Apricots, I guess but not very distinctive. Flavor was moderately sour for a "sour"and the beer list description did describe it as a doorway sour ale. Crisp and tart and flavorful. Dry and squeaky finish. Very tasty.

On Tap at the Boise, Brewery. Clear deep brown with redish highlights. Thin creamy Nitro head. Faint light roast aroma and woody toasty flavor. Very mild and light bodied with a touch of woody bitterness. Very drinkable and the nitro really smoothed it out.

On Tap at the Boise Brewery Classic clear red-ish brown with a modest sandy colored head. Persistent sheets of lacing. Rather sweet carmely woody aroma, Plenty of IBU’s up front in the flavor. More like a robust pale ale. Thin smooth feel. Lingering woody bitterness. Interesting.

On Tap at the Boise Brewery. Hazy deep golden, with a thin white head. Sturdy sheeting lacing. Classic light pale grain aroma and a little more hoppy than typical Blonde’s. Soft grain, cereal flavor with again, a little ore bittering that typical. Crisp and I must say a little more character than other Blondes. Does well for the style. A pleasant surprise.

Sample at Yard House Seattle. Pours a hazy orange-gold color with a medium foamy bone white head that dissipates gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and wheat. Light to medium body with flavors of tropical fruits, hops and biscuit malt. The finish is wheaty with a mild citrusy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. It’s very live beer. Pours a 5+ finger foamy white head. There’s a bit of lemony gold underneath that. Aroma is sort of earthy sour lemon. Med body. Flavor is lemonade sourish. There’s a lot of grapefruit (not the rind) and enough sugar to be silly. Sort of a cross between a Berliner Weiss and a grapefruit radler. Fun and easy to drink it is. These brewers are having more fun than should be allowed!

Great hazy bronze and copper coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of wheat, alcohol, fresh hops, yeast, bananas, cloves, coriander seed and some more fresh hops - very nice. Medium-bodied; Dense wheat flavour up front with a ton of nice spicey characteristics coupled with a good sweetness, all showing a great fresh hop flavour with some rather pungent citrus and herbal hop notes. Aftertaste shows a great balance of the hop varieties with the yeast - they match perfectly and show the great sides of each. Overall, a very nice IPA with a great wheat characteristic set and some fresh hops. Definitely worth trying if you can find this, plus it’ll be one that I search out for the next time back in Portland! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Pearl Specialty Market in Portland, Oregon on 26-April-2013 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 09-August-2013.
