Big thanks to reggie dunlap for this monstrosity of a rare beer! 12% wew! Does have the aroma of peanut butter fer sure. From a bottle it pours like a thicker dark brown liquid. Booo-zeee is an understatement. Quite a concoction, wew.. Although you would not think its 12%, it certainly is alky on your lips, alky in your face, alky down the gullet, and finally its alky kick in the abdomen. Not sure what to think of this stuff, did I say wew yet? Becomes a little brain numbing near the end of the session. Undoubtedly one of the biggest porters I’ve the pleasure of tasting. WEW Not for the meek at heart. Big alcohol laced finish, but I must say, this is a little smoother than most rude beers of this ABV. Look, I’m not one for higher alky beers but this was a little more acceptable than most beers over 10%. Not cloying as with most and it did have a fair amount of co2 that made this somewhat palatable.

Tap. Pours clear reddish brown, medium beige head, great lacing. aroma really is peanut butter, caramel. Flavor is about the same, medium sweet, minimal bitterness. PB taste there but not overpowering. A nice beer, but i am not sure i could drink a full pint

Poured up on tap at GABF 2012 with a nice gold color with a slight hazy body supporting a light tan head of foam. I sure hope that’s hop haze there. Only one way to find out for sure. Here goes. The mild aroma is a little spicy with hops, a little earthy and then a touch of malts. Well maybe the haze is on the flavor and bitter side. One way to find out. The taste is sort of sweet malts with a bit of biscuit and almost an oily coffee bean and sort of chili meat flavor mixing with a mineral note to two. It is pretty sweet for an IPA. It does have some lingering somewhat citrusy bitterness into the after taste.

Poured up on tap at GABF 2012 with a mahogany looking body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a little bit of roasted malts, peanut butter and with a big pull a little earthy too. Wow, the taste is rich and delicious with roasted malts, some malt sweetness, maybe some molasses and then pretty rich peanut butter midway and lingering into the finish. Wow (again) this is yummy. I’m not sure if a full pint of this is going to be as good but in a sample size this is perfect! Yep, a 9 for flavor, giddey - - up!!

Sampled at GABF. Pours a clear orange with some spitty white head. Nose is medicinal, fake citrus, malty. Artificially sweet flavor, orange candy, not good. Medium bodied, Splenda like finish. Kinda gross.
