Tap at OF. Pale orange-yellow-tan body. Steady, thin creamy white head. The aroma is really unappetizing, buttery rye. Probably the worst beer I’ve had from Red Eye. Absolute fail. The lemongrass attempts to give it some balance, but can hardly rescue it. Buttery, slick. Insipid, lifeless body.

Tap at Old Fashioned. Filtered orange-tan body. Respectable, steady off-white head. Sort of a buttery, grainy backdrop. Earthy off tones. The flavor is odd and bitter astringent. Not much finesse, weak end product.

Seventh anniversary, from Bob. Lots of balsamic vinegar in the aroma. Some cherry in the flavor, hickory, and a lottle tart.

Bottle at a tasting. Tons of chocolate. Amber color. Light sourness, dry, some fruit with cherry. Aroma is better than the flavor.

Growler shared by Bob, thanks! Pours a clear amber red with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has musty sweet chocolate and sour red fruits with a hint of vanilla backing. Flavor has sweet chocolate and sour cherries with backing vanilla. A bit muddled overall.

Tap at OF. Amber-caramel brown body, filtered. Thin white head. Chewy brown-amber beer. Pretty true to style I suppose, big malt tones. The hops are a little soapy and not to style, not offering much balancing bitterness. OK, but not so remarkable. Chewy, heavy, sweet malts. OK.

Tap at Old Fashioned. Brown-black body, respectable beige head. Pretty much all you can ask for in a Schwarz. Doughy, fresh, mellow chocolate. Medium bodied, balanced. Brown chocolate, caramel.
