Draft at Old Fashioned. Slightly hazy orange-bronze body. Steady, creamy off-white head. Cool, crisp hop aroma. Fresh citrus, tropical fruit tones..everything from spearmint to island fruit, mango. Clean and toasty, pretty mild for an IIPA. IPA and a half. Some orange flavors in the finish, big smooth malt. Not mind blowing or extreme, just a solid beer.

Tap at Old Fashioned. Slightly hazy orange tan body, steady white head. Big spicy yeast tones scream US Saison. Tastes like they added some spice too. Lemongrass, coriander. Drinkable, lacks finesse, not even close to a good Belgian example.

A hazed dark brown saison with a thin brown head. In aroma, an intense mix of chocolate, phenolics, terpentine, and chai spices. In mouth, a very nice mix of cardamom, caramel, chai spices, chocolate, well done. On tap at Istmus Beer and Cheese Fest, as Double Black Chai Saison, Jan 19 2012.

Draft at Red Eye. Filtered orange-tan, frothy off-white head. Slightly sweet aroma, some funky, fruity Belgian yeast tones. Very mellow, well executed BPA...not unlike DeKoninck in some respects. Medium bodied, clean malt tones. Orange-citrus tones. Doughy, creamy, very sessionable.

Draft at Red Eye. Hazy yellow tan, thin to no head. Intense artificial peach aroma. Super easy drinker, very fruit forward. Thick Pyramid-Apricot-ish..even more pronounced fruit tones. Refreshing, but a little one-d. I could drink a 40 of this in 5 minutes. Tasty but a little uninspired.

On tap at Red Eye..says 14 IBU and 4.9% ABV. Medium bodied, sort of watery. Dulled brown malt tones, clovy, the banana is relatively subdued. Easy drinking, but sort of a cardboard grainy mouthfeel. Not much character, very sessionable, butty mild malt action. OK, but incomparable to an authentic version.

On tap at the O’so tap house. Pours a deep ruby amber with a brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has some dark bread notes with a good amount of fig and light caramel backing. Flabor begins with sweet dark grains and is joined by a deep sweet fig note and caramel.

Draft at Old Fashioned. Deep, almost opaque black with stained glass red edges. Big, steady beige head. Creamy, pretty mellow carbonation. Somewhat watery with a thick crystal malt backbone. Rather subdued, not so hoppy. Still quite an enjoyable beer, no off flavors.

Draft at Old Fashioned. Opaque black with an oily, thin, beige head. Roasty chocolate aroma. Slight warming mouthfeel, with an almost peppery feel. Relatively easy drinking for the style still, I wouldn’t think this is over 8.5% max. Slightly syrupy, but still has a watery coffee thing going on. Not really that exciting, pretty straightforward brewpub fare. Oily. Sweet. OK.
